UP Warriorz (UP-W) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (BLR-W) will square-off against each other in match 18 of the ongoing third edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). The match will be hosted at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow and is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM IST.

UP-W have had a disappointing campaign so far and are on the verge of becoming the first team to get out of the WPL playoff race. They are currently sitting at the bottom of the table with two wins out of seven league games.

On the other hand, RCB-W started their season with two back to back wins, but failed to sustain their winning form and lost the next four matches on the trot. The Smriti Mandhana-led side is currently placed sixth in the points table, and with two more league games in hand, they will be eager to put a break on their losing streak.

3. Smriti Mandhana

Smriti Mandhana is going to be one of the first names in the fantasy XI ahead of the UP-W vs BLR-W game. As the dynamic left-hander has been struggling to convert her starts into big scores, a big knock is long overdue from the RCB skipper.

Considering the conditions in Lucknow, the southpaw will be playing an important role behind RCB’s early surge in the powerplay. Notably, she has done so while playing for her international side in T20Is at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, where she has made runs at an average of 33 and a strike-rate of 143.48.

2. Sophie Ecclestone

Sophie Ecclestone has been one of the consistent match-winners for the UP franchise. Her ability to contribute with both bat and ball makes her an obvious choice in the fantasy XI ahead of this game.

Ecclestone scored 33 with the bat and was the reason behind UP’s super over win against RCB when these two sides met each other earlier this season. In addition, she is the second highest-wicket taker for her side against RCB, taking 7 wickets at an average of 15.71 across three seasons.

1. Ellyse Perry

Ellyse Perry will continue to be a top pick for fantasy XIs in the remainder of the season. The veteran all-rounder has been one of the most consistent batters this season and usually enjoys her time against the UP franchise.

Perry scored an unbeaten 90 when these two sides played each other earlier this season. Moreover, she is currently the second highest run-scorer in WPL 2025 with 295 runs at an average of 98.33 and a strike-rate of 149.75, which also includes four half-centuries.
