JSK vs SUNE, Match 25- Toss Factor

The surface at Wanderers is a balanced one and it soothes all variety. The batters get to score runs if they can settle in and read the conditions faster. Bounce is persistent from the pacers and the spinners get decent turns as well.

Scenario: If Joburg Super Kings field first

Leeus du Plooy and Faf du Plessis will be indispensable to the Super Kings if they have to make two wins in a row. A loss may be fatal to their chances of qualification with MI Cape Town and Pretoria Capitals in the race.

Scenario: If Sunrisers Eastern Cape field first

The likes of Jordan Hermann and Aiden Markram have been shilly shally with the bat. They will have to fire along with Tom Abell to get the job done with the bat. While Marco Jansen and Ottneil Baartman will need to spearhead the bowling department and make full use of the conditions.

JSK vs SUNE, Match 25- Top Captain and Vice-captain Choices

Scenario: If Joburg Super Kings field first

Faf du Plessis (JSK): After a horrid time in the SA20, Captain Faf was back with a bang in their latest encounter against MI Cape Town. In a rain-curtailed event, he smacked a brilliant fifty to help his side to go past the finishing line. One can expect him to continue with the form as he can cope up with different situations of the game as well.

Ottneil Baartman (SUNE): The right-arm pacer has been in good touch with the cork in hand. He has bagged ten wickets from five innings and has the ability to work with the old ball very well. Baartman has bagged seven wickets from his last three games that includes a four-for against the Pretoria Capitals.

Scenario: If Sunrisers Eastern Cape field first

Aiden Markram (SUNE): The skipper of the Eastern Cape found his groove after scoring 32-ball 54 against MI Cape Town in their latest encounter. He as scored 143 runs from five innings and will look to make full use of his rekindled form. Markram can also be more than handy with his finger spin during the powerplay and middle over phases.

Leus du Plooy (JSK): The mainstay of the Super Kings have been scintillating with the willow for the side this season. Having racked 224 runs from seven innings in SA20 2024, the left-handed batter has splashed three forty-plus scores and two mid-thirties so far. He is a fabulous batter against both spin and pace.

JSK vs SUNE, Match 25- High Risk, High Reward Choice

Marco Jansen (SUNE): The tall all-rounder is the new ball spearhead for the Eastern Cape and the conditions are likely to favour his type. He can extract extra pace and bounce off the surface in Wanderers and may trouble the opposition. Also, Jansen has evolved with his batting and can be a useful entity for his side.

Lizaad Williams (JSK): The right-arm pacer was blowing hot with his bowling at the start and midway of the tournament but somehow has lost his numbers under the wicket column in recent times. With 11 wickets from six innings, Williams could turn out to be the differentiating factor on his day.
