Young batting prodigy, Musheer Khan has once again made headlines at the ICC Men's Under 19 World Cup 2024 in South Africa. Following his impressive 118-run knock against Ireland, Khan has continued his exceptional form by scoring another century, this time against New Zealand's Under 19 team at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein on Tuesday.

Musheer scores his second ton at U19 WC 2024

Musheer's latest hundred, 120 off 119 balls, was stitched with precision and panache, including 10 boundaries and a six. This feat has etched his name in the record books as the second Indian, after Shikhar Dhawan, to score two centuries in a single U-19 World Cup tournament.

His innings played a huge role in bolstering India's position. After being put to bat first, India Under 19 team has scored 275/5 in 47.2 overs. Musheer is going strong on 131 while Sachin Dhas is new to the crease, batting on 7.

It is worth mentioning that the young star's journey in the tournament has been nothing short of remarkable. In the previous match against the USA, he missed a century, getting out at 73. However, learning from his past performance, Musheer ensured he reached the three-figure mark against New Zealand.

Meanwhile, in a delightful turn of events for the Khan family, Musheer's stellar performance in the World Cup coincides with another joyous occasion. His elder brother, Sarfaraz Khan, has received his maiden call-up to the Indian team. Sarfaraz, known for his impressive performances in domestic cricket, is likely to make his debut in the upcoming second Test against England in Vizag.
