SCO vs HEA, Match 35- Toss Factor

The surface at Perth is well known for its bounce and pace. The fast bowlers enjoy the conditions here and the new ball nibbles around for a while. Batting second has earned a good amount of success in the last few T20I games here.

Scenario: If Brisbane Heat field first

The Heat could benefit from chasing first. They have brilliant pacers in the form of Spencer Johnson, Xavier Bartlett and Michael Neser who could make early inroads with the ball in hand. Also, the return of Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne bolsters the batting.

Scenario: If Perth Scorchers field first

The hosts will know the conditions of Perth the best and can extract the juice out of it with the help of their resources. The likes of Jason Behrendorff, Josh Inglis, Aaron Hardie, Lance Morris, etc are likely to do well in this venue.

SCO vs HEA, Match 35- Top Captain and Vice-Captain

Scenario: If Perth Scorchers field first

Jason Behrendorff (SCO): The tall lanky pacer is likely to get the most out of this surface in Perth. He has all the skills to break the backbone of an in-form Heat batting. Behrendorff has the ability to bowl brilliantly with the new ball but in recent times he has also evolved into a foot slog over bowler.

Michael Neser (HEA): The Aussie all-rounder was brilliant with his three-dimensional skills in the last game against the same opposition. When his side was losing wickets, Neser came in and scored quick runs that included a fifty and also bagged a couple of scalps.

Scenario: If Brisbane Heat fields first

Xavier Bartlett (HEA): The pacer has been one of the mainstays in the Brisbane bowling line-up and is currently their leading wicket-taker. He has been outstanding with the new ball and has been giving the early breakthroughs. The Perth wicket is likely to suit the pacers and offer some extra bounce which can eventually sooth Bartlett.

Josh Inglis (SCO): Often we get to see that a middle order lower middle order batter stabilised the innings after early wickets. Josh Inglis could be one such material for the Scorchers. Now that he has gained international experience, Inglis

SCO vs HEA, Match 35- High risk, High reward choices

Laurie Evans (SCO): The aggressive batter stormed around the cricket field a few days back and also gave a good fight in the last game of the Scorchers against Heat. He is a mix of caution with aggression and on his day, Evans can be devastating with the willow.

Marnus Labuschagne (HEA): The 29-year-old is a live wire in the cricket field and looked in good touch with the bat in the last game but ended up getting dismissed cheaply. Marnus initiated his innings with a higher strike rate and will look to convert the scores into a bigger one this time around.
