After a week of rumours spiralling about Bollywood legend Dharmendra's death, the Indian actor passed away on November 24, days ahead of his birthday on December 8. Dharmendra's last rites were done at the Pawan Hans crematorium.

As the Bollywood actor left the world, the cricketing fraternity paid their tributes while taking to their social media handles, with prominent cricketers like Shikhar Dhawan, Virender Sehwag, and Kedar Jadhav pouring in tributes.

Cricketers pour in tribute for Dharmendra

Dharmendra passed away weeks after he was reported for trouble while breathing and age-related issues. At 89, the veteran actor passed away as the whole of India poured in tributes in remembrance of the legend.

Shikhar Dhawan, ex-India veteran shared his condolences for the legend on his official social media handle on X where he wrote, "You stood tall, not just in stature, but in spirit. Dharmendra ji, thank you for showing us strength can be kind. Om Shanti."

India cricket legend Virender Sehwag also paid his tribute with a heartfelt memoir written out for the veteran actor.

"Dharmendra Ji was not just an actor, he was an era. A star in simplicity, a He-Man in strength, and a heart of gold. His films, his style, and his warmth will be remembered for generations. A great artiste, May God grant peace to his soul. Om Shanti," Sehwag wrote.

India ex-spinner Harbhajan Singh also took to his official social media handle to pay his heartfelt condolences and tribute for the mega Bollywood star.

"Heartfelt tribute to Dharmendra Ji — a timeless icon whose grace, strength, and unparalleled charm have left an everlasting mark on Indian cinema. From his powerful performances to his warmth both on and off screen, he touched countless hearts and inspired generations. His films, his smile, and his spirit will forever remain etched in our memories. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti," Harbhajan wrote.

Suresh raina wrote, "Dharamendra ji was not just a superstar—he was emotion, charm, and the soul of an entire generation of cinema. Thank you for the memories you gave us. Rest in peace, He-Man of Bollywood. Om Shanti."

Ex-IND star Yuvraj Singh also wrote precious words for the legend on his Twitter handle.

"Every home had a favourite Dharmendra film. He was a part of our growing up and of Indian cinema’s finest years. He brought strength, charm and honesty to every role, and carried Punjab’s warmth wherever he went. Behind the fame was a humble, grounded and deeply human soul. His legacy will live on in the hearts of millions. Condolences to @iamsunnydeol, @thedeol and the family," Singh wrote.

Kedar Jadhav took to his official social media handle of X too to share his message for the Bollywood legend who left the world after giving many massive hits in his era.

"The end of an era. Bollywood’s beloved He-Man, Dharmendra Ji, is no more. His timeless films, warmth, and unforgettable legacy will continue to live in our hearts for generations. From a small village in Punjab to the heart of Indian cinema, his journey will forever inspire. Heartfelt tribute to the legend. Om Shanti," Jadhav wrote.

Notably, the cremation ceremony of Dharmendra was attended by several popular figures like his second wife Hema Malini, co-stars Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, and other actors, including Sanjay Dutt and Aamir Khan at Juhu.
