As per the reports by TOI, India's star spinner Kuldeep Yadav has requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to grant him leave for his wedding later this month. As a result, the veteran could miss the second Test of the ongoing India vs South Africa Series, scheduled to be played in Guwahati. 

Earlier on June 4, 2025, Kuldeep got engaged to his childhood friend, Vanshika. The engagement took place in a private ceremony in Lucknow, attended by close friends and family, including fellow cricketer Rinku Singh. 

Since their engagement photos surfaced, Kuldeep's partner has gained attention as fans grow curious about her.

Kuldeep Yadav's soon-to-be wife, Vanshika, was born in Shyam Nagar, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. According to the publicly available information, she leads a grounded lifestyle and works as an officer at the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). 

Childhood friends-turned-lovers, Vanshika and Kuldeep share a long-standing bond that began in their early years and gradually grew into a deep, supportive relationship. 

Though she continues to maintain a private, low-profile life, and is admired for her calm personality and strong values. It is important to note that Vanshika remains a crucial pillar in Kuldeep’s personal and professional journey.

After clinching 4 wickets in the 1st Test between India and South Africa at the iconic Eden Gardens, Kuldeep Yadav's availability is in doubt after the veteran requests BCCI for leave. Notably, another name who may miss the next game is captain Shubman Gill. The batter was ruled out of the Kolkata Test with neck spasms.

The 30-year-old, Kuldeep Yadav had earlier postponed his wedding function in the year when the IPL finished later than the scheduled date due to cross-border tension between India and Pakistan.
