On Tuesday, Pakistan will lock horns with Zimbabwe in the inaugural match of the upcoming T20I Tri-Series on home soil. Led by Agha Salman, the Men in Green recently secured a memorable series win over South Africa and would like to extend their purple patch by emerging victorious against Zimbabwe in the tournament opener. Babar Azam will once again be a key player for Pakistan, having regained his mojo with a valiant fifty in the South Africa series.

As Pakistan gear up for the highly anticipated opening encounter, here are three major batting milestones that Babar can achieve in the Tri-Series.

Most T20I sixes for Pakistan: Babar on verge of surpassing Shahid Afridi

Shahid Afridi is unarguably one of the greatest six-hitters of all time. The legendary allrounder hammered 73 sixes in 90 T20Is before his retirement. Interestingly, Babar Azam also has 73 T20I sixes to his name and will go past Afridi on the list, topped by Mohammad Rizwan (95 sixes), if he hits one maximum in the Tri-Series.

Most T20I runs for Pakistan against Zimbabwe

Babar Azam is one of Pakistan's most successful batters against Zimbabwe in T20Is. The stylish batter has struck 232 runs across six innings at an average of 38.66. Ahmed Shehzad tops the chart with 265 runs; so, if Babar Azam adds 34 runs to his tally, he will go past the former opener and claim the top spot.

Most T20I fifties for Pakistan against Zimbabwe

Babar Azam has already slammed three fifties against Zimbabwe in T20 Internationals. The Lahore-born has the same number of half-centuries as Mohammad Hafeez and Ahmed Shehzad.

So, if Babar scores one more fifty, he will overtake both Hafeez and Shehzad and become the Pakistan batter with the most half-centuries against Zimbabwe.
