In a heartwarming turn of events, Tennis maestro Novak Djokovic showcased his versatile sporting skills by engaging in a friendly game of cricket with Australian cricket star Steve Smith during the Australian Open.

The Australian Open is currently underway, and Djokovic landed in the state to feature in the grand slam event. However, ahead of the game, Novak was seen playing cricket with Aussie great Steve Smith on the Tennis court. 

In front of a packed crowd, the Tennis star bowled a couple of deliveries to Smith with the intention of getting him out. Sadly, Novak's weak hand in cricket was exposed as he got hit on each delivery.

Not only that, Steve Smith also tried his hand at Tennis and impressed the crowd and Djokovic with his exceptional skills.

Regardless, the light-hearted moment caught the fans' eye as the crowd cheered for the sporting stars. The images and videos of Djokovic wielding a cricket bat and Smith showcasing his Tennis skills circulated rapidly on social media, capturing the attention of fans worldwide.

Having said that, Novak Djokovic is a 10-time Australian Open winner and is back to defend his title in 2024. He has a total of 24 grand slams to his name and holds a record of being ranked No. 1 for a record total of 407 weeks in a record 13 different years. Not only that, Djokovic finished as the year-end No. 1 a record eight times.

On the other hand, Steve Smith is a legend in his sport, cricket. He has nearly 16,000 runs across all formats of the game in the international circuit. The batter guided Australia to numerous memorable victories in the past, not only as a captain but also as a specialist batter.
