Australia, the five-time World Champions have named their final squad for World Cup 2023 which has one change from their originally named squad with Marnus Labuschagne finding a place in the 15-member team in place of injured Ashton Agar. Labuschagne has been rewarded for his consistent performances in the recently held ODI series against South Africa and India and add more stability to the explosive Aussie batting line-up.

Ashton Agar though unfortunately misses out due to a calf injury while rest of the squad remains same which has plenty of all-rounders, providing Aussies with great depth and balance.

Australia recently have lost ODI series to Proteas and India, but many of their big players were not part of majority of these games, and Aussies always tend to bring their best onto the table in big tournaments like World Cup.

Australia have great power in their squad, with David Warner and Mitchell Marsh set to open the innings. Both are explosive batters, and with likes of Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, and Cameron Green at their disposal, they could destroy any bowling attack on flat decks in India. Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne can play the anchor roles, while Alex Carey will most probably play as a first-choice wicketkeeper.

Also, the big news that Travis Head has been retained despite his availability for the first half of the tournament in doubt, while the pace attack boasts of familiar big names like Mitchell Starc Josh Hazlewood and the skipper Pat Cummins himself.

The only concern for the Aussies could be the absence of second frontline spinner alongside Adam Zampa. However, with Glenn Maxwell showing his bowling credentials against India at Rajkot recently, Australia would be pretty confident about their chances in what is expected to be a cracking 10-nation World Cup in India.
