Royal Challengers Bangalore pulled off a masterstroke when they signed veteran English bowler Kate Cross at this year's WPL auction. Notably, Cross has always been a die-hard fan of Chennai Super Kings in men's IPL, and thus RCB chose to pull her leg as she landed in Bangalore for the Women's Premier League's new season.

WPL 2024 is scheduled for later this month, and accordingly, teams have started to assemble at their respective venues. For RCB, Smriti Mandhana will lead the side in her second consecutive season.

Notably, RCB was one of the busiest teams at this year's auction, as they spent hefty amounts of money to grab star players. Kate Cross, one of England's perennial bowlers, was signed for INR 30 lakhs by RCB.

However, her acquisition caught a lot of fans' attention, as Cross has always been a CSK fan. She never shies away from expressing her love for the Yellow Army on social media.

However, for the WPL, her priorities will take a shift. Meanwhile, RCB decided to pull her leg as Kate Cross arrived in Bengaluru to join the camp ahead of the new WPL season. She was welcomed by the hotel staff in a traditional style.

However, moments later, a server arrived with two glasses of juice in his hand. One glass had a red drink, signifying RCB's jersey attire, whereas the other had yellow, which is CSK's iconic color. While Kate Cross was put in a fix, she eventually grabbed the red color drink to assert her loyalty towards her WPL franchise.

Overall, the entire social media banter to tease CSK fans worked well for RCB's social media engagement, as fans have been widely sharing the video on the internet.

It would be interesting to see how Kate Cross performs in the Reds. Her presence in the bowling lineup is perennial in RCB's success for the upcoming season.
