The Shreyas Iyer led Punjab Kings produced a miraculous performance as they defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders in perhaps the most nail-biting IPL match in a long time. The team snatched the victory from jaws of defeat as the home team defended the lowest total in the history of the tournament.

KKR needed a paltry 112 to go top of the points table, and the task looked easy, but PBKS kept on churning out wickets and bundled out the Knight Riders for a mere 95 as they pulled off an incredible heist.
After the victory, PBKS owner, Preity Zinta couldn't control her emotions as she erupted in joy and looked overwhelmed after her team's massive win in the context of the tournament.
Chahal, Jansen run riot Vs KKR batters
To defend 111, PBKS needed their two best bowlers, Marco Jansen and Yuzvendra Chahal to come to the party and they did. Prior to this game, Chahal only had two wickets in IPL 2025, but against KKR, he picked up 4 for 28 to setup the game for his team.
Marco Jansen, too, joined the fun as he looked unplayable at times and finished with figures of 3 for 17 as the target became a bit too much for KKR.
Andre Russell tried for a bit, but he couldn't cross the line for his team as Punjab registered their 4th win of the season.
