On Saturday, December 21, Janakpur Bolts scripted history as they became the first team to win the maiden Nepal Premier League. The Aasif Sheikh-led side locked horns against Sudur Paschim Royals in NPL final, where the Bolts handed them a five-wickets win to script history.

On Monday, December 23, the Janakpur Bolts management held a celebration with the players and the fans as scenes are crazy in Nepal for cricket. Notably, the fans turned up in huge numbers in the stadium, and also climbed trees near the stadium to watch the match.

Talking about the celebrations, New Zealand's Jimmy Neesham hogged the internet after he was captured grooving and shaking a leg to famous bhojpuri song 'Lollypop Laage Lu'. Neesham was seen dancing also waving Nepal's flag. Watch the video here.

Neesham: A Key Man Behind Bolt's Title Win

Jimmy Neesham had a season to remember as he was one of the key players for the Bolts in their title-winning season. It is worth noting that the New Zealand all-rounder was the fifth leading run-getter in the tournament.

He scored 247 runs in nine innings and was Bolts' second-leading run-getter behind Lahiru Miltantha. Further, Neesham averaged 35, which included a solitary fifty-plus score. Although, Neesham failed with the bat in the final and scored just 4, but played a key part with the ball and took a solitary wicket.

Overall, the first edition of NPL was a big hit as it featured several big stars such as Shikhar Dhawan and Sohail Tanvir.
