On Monday, December 16, Sudurpaschim Royals took on Karnali Yaks in the 28th match of Nepal Premier League at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground. It was a one-sided game from the start as The Royals registered a comfortable six-wicket win to finish on the top of the table with 12 points in seven matches.

The Yaks, batting first, tumbled for just 101 runs on the board, courtesy of Harmeet Singh's magical spell. The spinner registered the figures of 3/17 after his quota of four overs. Meanwhile his third dismissal has been doing rounds on the internet because of a brilliant piece of work behind the wicket.

Binod Bhandari Shines With Brilliant Glovework

On the last ball of the 20th over, Singh bowled a delivery down the leg side and batter Bipin Sharma was out of the crease. The ball got stuck between keeper Binod Bhandari's legs and he covered the ball with his gloves. The batter was clueless about the whereabouts and stepped out of the crease which is when Binod took the ball and stumped him.

The fans praised Binod's presence of mind and also draw a parallel with MS Dhoni because of his clever thinking. Notably, MSD has made a name for himself to bring out unique skills and ideas to get batter out. Further, the fans were also quick to notice the yellow jersey and No.7 jersey on Bhandari.

Talking about the match, skipper Dipendra Airee was the top-scorer with 38 (29), which featured four fours and a solitary six.  Despite the defeat, the Yaks too have qualified for the play-offs.
