India will lock horns against England at the Guyana National Stadium on June 27 for the 2nd semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2024. The winner of the match will face South Africa in the finals on June 29.

India will face the defending champions for the 5th time in T20 World Cup history, and the last time they faced each other was also in the semi-finals in the 2022 edition, where the Men in Blue faced a 10-wicket defeat.

The fans are anxious as the Rohit Sharma-led side are eyeing their 2nd T20 World Cup title. Ahead of the crucial game, a video, posted by PTI,  has gone viral on the internet where fans in UP's  Prayagraj  performed 'Havan' for India's success in the upcoming semi-final match.

It is not the first time the fans have taken extreme measures to see their side succeed in the tournament. Similar videos flouted on the internet ahead of India's ICC World Cup 2023 final match against Australia where fans from different parts of the country prayed for Men in Blue's win.

At the moment, a rain threat looms over the India-England tie as it has been raining heavily in Guyana. Unfortunately, there is no reserve day for this match, but no-overs will be cut before 12:10 am. If the match gets washed out because of rain, India will advance to the finals as they finished on top in their group, while the Jos Buttler-led side were second behind South Africa.
