Indian broadcaster Star Sports unveiled a special promo clip ahead of the start of India's marquee all-format tour of South Africa. The promo featured popular Indian film star Hrithik Roshan, who raised the excitement levels prior to the opening match of Men in Blue's trip - the first T20I in Durban on Sunday (December 10).

Roshan collaborated with Star to promote his upcoming film venture 'Fighter', based on Indian firefighters and their lives, and found a similarity between the spirit of the army personnel and Team India players, who don the jersey for the country.

Hrithik said like the firefighters have a special jersey on duty, the players part of the Indian team also have their gear associated with the nation's pride and are just as committed to the country's cause on the field.

The famous actor urged the fans to support the Men in Blue in large numbers as they strive to rewrite the history books in South Africa over the next six weeks of high-octane action in challenging conditions in the rainbow nation.

India start off the tour with a three-match T20I series, including matches in Durban (December 10), Gqeberha (December 12) and Johannesburg (December 14). The caravan then moves to the ODIs with matches spread in Johannesburg (December 17), Gqeberha (December 19) and Paarl (December 21).

The most anticipated section of the tour, however, is the two-match Test series scheduled in Centurion and Cape Town for special Boxing Day and New Year's Tests between December 26-30 and January 3-7, respectively.

With Team India never previously clinching a Test series win on Proteas shores, there is a great sense of excitement and nerves within the fans, who would love to overcome the brewing somber and the disappointment of the ICC World Cup 2023 final setback with a victory in South Africa.
