Senior Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan recently shared a philosophical poem with his fans on social media. The cricketer took to his Instagram account and uttered an uplifting message, at a time when the 38-year-old is undergoing a personal turmoil with ex-wife Ayesha Mukherjee.

Shikhar Dhawan reveals positive mindset amidst turmoil

Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan continues to entertain his fans from the sidelines through an occasional social media post.

On January 24, the cricketer shared an uplifting message on his Instagram account, where he can be seen talking about holding a positive mindset. The seasoned Indian campaigner said:

“Hasna aata hai mujhe, mujhse gam ki baat nahi hoti. Meri baato me mazaak udti hai, par meri har baat mazaak nahi hoti.” (I know how to laugh; I don't feel sad. There is humor in what I say, but not everything I say is a joke.)

Interestingly, Dhawan shared his uplifting elegy at a time when he is going through an emotional turmoil with his ex-wife Ayesha Mukherjee. Both Dhawan and Ayesha had separated from their marriage, after the Indian opening batsman was granted a divorce by a Delhi court on October 4, 2023, citing mental cruelty as grounds.

In late December, Dhawan shared a heartfelt birthday post for his son Zoravar. The cricketer opened up about the challenges he has been facing just to re-connect with his son, who his currently living with his mother Ayesha Mukherjee in Australia.

As of now, Shikhar Dhawan is slated to turn up for the Punjab Kings franchise in the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) season. The dashing left-handed batsman was retained by the PBKS management back in November 2023.
