Punjab Kings (PBKS) captain and veteran Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan shared sincere emotions in an Instagram post dedicated to his son Zoravar on his birthday. Dhawan, who has faced personal challenges following his separation from Ayesha Mukherjee, conveyed his emotions and love for his son.

The 38-year-old Delhi-based cricketer was granted a divorce by a Delhi court on October 4, 2023, citing mental cruelty as grounds. The court acknowledged that Ayesha had caused mental suffering to Dhawan by keeping him separated from their son Zoravar for an extended period. However, the court did not grant permanent custody, allowing Dhawan specific durations for visits and video calls.

In the emotional Instagram post, Dhawan shared the challenges he has faced in connecting with his son, as he has been blocked from all virtual platforms for almost three months by Ayesha. He reminisced about the last time he saw Zoravar in person, a year ago, and expressed his affection and longing.

Despite the separation, Dhawan emphasized that he is proud of Zoravar's growth and always thinks of him with positivity and a smile. He conveyed his love and longing, assuring his son that he writes messages almost every day, asking about his well-being, sharing updates about his own life, and expressing anticipation for their eventual reunion.

“It's been a year since I saw you in person, and now, for almost three months, I’ve been blocked from everywhere so Posting the same picture to wish you, my boy, a very Happy Birthday. Even if I can’t connect with you directly, I connect with you through Telepathy."

"I am so proud of you, and I know you’re doing great and growing up nicely. Papa always misses you and loves you. Despite not seeing you, I write you messages almost every day, asking about your well-being and daily life, sharing what I’m doing and what’s new in my life. Love you loads Zora, Papa," Shikhar Dhawan wrote in his Instagram post.

While Dhawan is not part of the Indian team across formats currently, he continues to lead Punjab Kings in the IPL Looking ahead to the next year's IPL, he will remain committed to his professional responsibilities despite the personal challenges he has faced recently.
