As per the death certificate issued by the Thai authorities, the passing of Shane Warne is attributed to "coronary artery atherosclerosis." The aforementioned condition refers to the build-up of plaque in the heart's arteries, which subsequently causes the complete blockage of the blood vessels.

Such narrowing usually leads to a heart attack, which was suspected to be the primary reason for the death of Shane Warne.

On March 4, 2022, Shane Warne was found unresponsive in his hotel villa in Thailand. While his friends attempted to revive him via CPR, the legendary former cricketer was pronounced dead upon his arrival at a nearby hospital.

Born in Victoria in 1969, Shane Warne would have turned 55 in September 13, 2024. To this date, cricket fans all over the world continue to cherish his on-field charisma.
