Australia turned the tables with a vengeance after a disappointing defeat in the one-off Test against India, securing a clean sweep in the three-match ODI series.

Alyssa Healy and Co. froze India in the 3rd and final ODI, claiming a 190-run thumping win and inflicting a whitewash over the hosts at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on January 2.

Australia's resounding win was masterminded by Phoebe Litchfield, who showcased her exceptional form by smashing 119 runs from 125 balls. Her innings, featuring 16 boundaries and a six, powered Australia to a mammoth total of 338 runs.

The 20-year-old exhibited her batting prowess by hitting half-centuries in the first two ODIs, followed by a century in the third and final match.

Her outstanding feat made her the first-ever Australian batter to achieve half-centuries in all three matches of a series against India in the 50-over format.

During the post-match press conference, an intriguing question was posed to Phoebe Litchfield about any possible connection between her name and the renowned character Phoebe Buffay from the popular American Television series Friends.

Reported by journalist Annesha Ghosh on Twitter, here's how Phoebe Litchfield responded to the captivating query:

“No, I don't think my parents were thinking of naming me after Phoebe Buffay because she's not too bright. Phoebe is a lovely name but I haven't watched the “FRIENDS” series too much.”

In the auction held last year, Phoebe Litchfield clinched a massive INR 1 Crore deal with Gujarat Giants in the Women’s Premier League. Her debut series in India only affirms that she is undeniably on the path to becoming a rising star.
