Anushka Sharma, renowned Bollywood actress and wife of cricket star Virat Kohli, made a rare public appearance in Mumbai recently after returning to India. Attending the Slurrp Farm’s YES Moms & Dads event, Anushka candidly shared her experiences of parenting their daughter, Vamika, and their newborn son, Akaay.

The actress humorously spoke about her attempts to instill healthy eating habits in Vamika, admitting that her three-year-old daughter is becoming increasingly hard to fool.

During the event, Anushka explained how she initially shielded Vamika from unhealthy food by creating a "bubble" around her.

However, as Vamika starts recognizing different foods, including cakes and pizzas, Anushka has found it harder to maintain that controlled environment. “And then they start seeing things and realizing, ‘Oh! Wait a minute, what is that?’” she shared, adding that Vamika’s growing curiosity presents a new set of challenges.

Anushka’s Healthy Eating Approach For Vamika

Anushka has developed a unique strategy to help Vamika understand the importance of nutrition. By explaining how different foods provide energy in varying ways, she emphasizes the long-term benefits of healthy eating.

“Some foods give us energy so you can play longer, while others give energy quickly but leave us tired,” Anushka explained.

Anushka Reveals She And Virat Kohli Cook For Their Children

The couple recently celebrated Raksha Bandhan with their children in London and is determined to pass on their family recipes to Vamika and Akaay. In the same interview, Anushka highlighted their commitment to maintaining routines, ensuring that despite their hectic schedules, the family sticks to regular eating and sleeping habits. She also revealed that Virat Kohli personally prepares meals for Vamika and Akaay Kohli.

"We had this discussion at home that if we don’t make the food our moms made at home, then we won’t be passing these recipes on to our kids. So, sometimes I cook, and sometimes my husband cooks, and we really try to replicate the way our mothers did. I cheat a little by calling my mom to ask for recipes, but it’s so important. It’s like you’re passing on something valuable to your children.”
