The remarkable story of Virat Kohli's doppelganger, Kartik Sharma

Recently, a lookalike of Kohli, Kartik Sharma, a software engineer hailing from Haryana, has suddenly found himself in the public eye due to his remarkable resemblance to the Indian cricketing icon.

A striking mirror image of Kohli, Kartik has become a sensation across various social media platforms. His likeness to Kohli extends beyond just facial features; his well-maintained beard and hairstyle are an essential part of the distinct similarity.

Even though Kartik is not the famous cricketer himself, he is frequently mistaken for Kohli, garnering widespread attention and a swarm of fans eager for photos.

The Haryana-born software engineer shared his unique experiences and the common mix-ups in an exclusive interview with Official Humans of Bombay, which was posted on their Instagram handle.

"I know what you're thinking, but nope, I'm not Virat Kohli! I'm Kartik Sharma, from Haryana - a software engineer. But yes, people swarm me for pictures everywhere I go," he candidly admitted.

It's not just the physical resemblance that binds Kartik and Kohli; their shared passion for cricket is another common thread. Kartik, who is a cricket fanatic and an ardent fan of Kohli's playing style, often shares videos of his own exploits in the sport on Instagram.

Despite being a regular spectator at Kohli's matches, Kartik still awaits the opportunity to meet his idol in person.

"And even though I couldn't make a career in it, cricket is my true passion and Virat Kohli is my idol. Hopefully one day, I'll get to live my dream and meet him,” exclaimed Kartik.

Kartik's fascinating story has left the internet abuzz since its first appearance on July 21. His interview video, posted on Humans of Bombay's Instagram, has already garnered over 1.4 million views, more than 65,000 likes, and a plethora of comments.
