One of India’s most admired celebrity couples, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, once again left fans swooning with their touching social media tribute on Mother’s Day. On May 11, the star cricketer took to Instagram to honour three special women in his life his wife Anushka Sharma, his mother Saroj Kohli, and Anushka’s mother.

The post featured an emotional blend of personal moments. One striking image showed a picture of Anushka lovingly holding their son Akaay. Other frames showcased throwback pictures of a young Virat with his mother Saroj.  Along with the images, Virat Kohli penned a sincere note that read:

Happy mothers day to all the mothers of the world. I was born to one, accepted by one as a son and have seen one grow into a strong , nurturing, loving and protective mother to our children. We love you more and more everyday @anushkasharma  ❤️❤️❤️

This endearing gesture came amid a recent wave of social media buzz surrounding the couple. Days earlier, the duo made their first public appearance after Kohli accidentally liked a photo of actress Avneet Kaur on Instagram. However, the star cricketer clarified that the action was unintentional. 

Adding to the public’s intrigue was a viral video of the couple stepping out for dinner. Anushka was seen exiting their car first, politely declining Virat’s extended hand and instead holding the car door for support. The brief moment unusual for a couple often seen walking hand-in-hand sparked speculation. 

Will Virat Kohli Retire From Test Cricket?

Meanwhile, on the professional front, speculation is going on about Virat Kohli’s future in Test cricket. Following Rohit Sharma’s surprising retirement, sources suggest that Kohli is considering stepping away from the longest format. However, the BCCI has reportedly urged him to reconsider, especially with a crucial tour of England approaching.
