Rishabh Pant may be struggling for form in IPL 2025 but this time it wasn’t just cricket fans reacting to his slow start, it was his sister, Sakshi Pant, who came out swinging. The wicketkeeper-batter, who was picked up for a whopping INR 27 crore by Lucknow Super Giants, hasn’t set the stage on fire just yet.

Rishabh Pant’s Sister Blasts Satirical Video Mocking Her Brother

And a recent viral satirical video poking fun at his price tag and performance clearly didn’t sit well with his family. The video, posted by thefauxysports, mocked Rishabh Pant's poor returns with sarcastic jibes like LSG offering to pay other teams to take Pant off their hands and that team owner Sanjiv Goenka might just make him a car driver to recover the 27-crore investment.

While many took the satirical take in jest, Sakshi Pant clearly didn’t. Responding on Instagram, she called out the video and the platform, commenting,

“That’s why we say two-faced people/media.”

Her reaction instantly caught fire online with fans split between siding with her and reminding her that the account was meant for satire.

Some users even tried to explain it to her gently, saying it is all in good humour and not meant to be taken seriously. But from her tone, it was clear Sakshi didn’t find anything funny about dragging her brother down, especially in such a public way.

Pant’s IPL Form Under The Scanner

The reaction comes amid mounting pressure on Rishabh Pant. In three matches so far for LSG, he has scored just 17 runs, including a golden duck in the opener.

His most recent outing against Punjab Kings saw him dismissed for a tame 1 after coming in at a critical juncture. With questions now being raised about his captaincy, intent and form, the criticism has only grown louder.

And with LSG taking on a resurgent Mumbai Indians in their next fixture, the heat is well and truly on. With Match 16 against Mumbai coming up on Friday, April 4, Rishabh Pant will need to bring out his A-game because a match-winning knock could only silence the critics, who have been extremely vocal with their criticism.
