In a significant development, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have won the toss and opted to bowl first in their fourth group-stage match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL 2025. At toss, SRH captain Pat Cummins stated that the Orange Army would chase in order to capitalise on Hyderabad's playing conditions.

Why Have SRH Left Out Travis Head From Playing XI vs KKR?

Meanwhile, the Sunrisers have made two crucial changes to their playing XI from the last game, replacing Travis Head and Abhinav Manohar with Kamindu Mendis and Simarjeet Singh.

While Travis Head's exclusion has grabbed the attention, it's worth mentioning that the swashbuckling batter is one of their impact players, and he will likely replace one of the bowlers as the substitute in the second half of the game.

SRH have mostly used Travis Head as a pure batter in the IPL this season. Abhinav Manohar, Wiaan Mulder, Rahul Chahar and Jaydev Unadkat are SRH's other impact player options apart from Head.

Head has been a consistent performer for SRH in the IPL. Regarding this season, the explosive batter has managed 136 runs at a superb average of 45.33 and a blistering strike rate of 191.55.
