Travis Head Skipped Pakistan Series for Family Time

Right now, Head is taking a breather from Australia’s ODI series against Pakistan. He’s opted to spend time with his family and recharge before the big Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India. With the five-match Test series starting on November 22 in Perth, this time off couldn’t be better timed for him.

A Sensational Year for Travis Head

Head has been unstoppable this year, bagging Player of the Match in Australia’s World Test Championship Final and leading the team to a World Cup win in 2023. He was also Australia’s top scorer in the T20 World Cup and took home the Player of the Series title in the recent ODI series against England. His consistency has even earned him the top spot as the world’s best T20 batter.

As one of Australia’s key players across all formats, Head’s choice to skip both the ODI and T20 series against Pakistan gives him a rare chance to recharge. This downtime is all about getting ready for the clash against India. While his exact prep plans aren’t set yet, fans can count on him returning with his signature energy and drive for the Border-Gavaskar series.
