Tinder seems to be cashing in on the India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 hype. The online dating app, much like Indian food delivery company Zomato, took to X (formerly Twitter) and mocked the Pakistan cricket team for their seemingly hilarious act against Team India.

The act in question refers to Pakistan’s fielding blunder against India in their much-awaited Super Four Asia Cup 2023 clash in Colombo on September 10. Earlier in the Indian innings, opening batsman Shubman Gill nicked one behind off Naseem Shah’s bowling only for the ball to fly between slip fielders Iftikhar Ahmed and Agha Salman.

Tinder India took to X and mocked the hilarious moment with a witty caption, and the post soon went viral across the microblogging site.

Tinder India mocks Pakistan fielding

The Indian team got off to a blazing start courtesy of their openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. The two cricketers formed a 121-run opening stand inside 17 overs, all while countering the likes of Pakistan’s pace quartet Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Faheem Ashraf and Haris Rauf.

Remarkably, Shah almost got his side an early breakthrough by finding the outside edge off Shubman Gill towards slips. However, the ball zipped through slip fielders Iftikhar Ahmed and Agha Salman who did not even attempt to take the catch.

Tinder, an online dating app, compared the said analogy with men failing to take hints in a relationship. Taking to X, Tinder India posted:

In the meantime, India’s innings was halted at 147-2 from 24.1 overs owing to ceaseless rains in Colombo on September 10.

The two sides will resume the game the game today at the venue, with Indian batters Virat Kohli (8*) and KL Rahul (17*) taking guard at the crease.
