The Entertainment Cricket League (ECL) 2025 season got its winner today as Chennai Smashers beat Bangalore Bashers by 10 wickets in the final. Chennai chased down the modest total of 84 runs in just 5 overs, leading to a landslide win.

The ECL 2025 season reached its climax today as Chennai Smashers clashed with Bangalore Bashers in the finale held at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi. 

The Smashers won the toss and invited Bashers to bat first. However, Abhishek Malhan and co got bundled on a modest total of 84 runs. The skipper and Ankit Kumar went back on ducks whereas Tanush Sethi became the highest scorer with 25 runs to his name.

Thugesh Led Chennai Earns Landslide Win In ECL 2025 Final

Meanwhile, Chennai Smashers made a mockery of the chase. Openers Gulshan Nain and Rahul Bisht single-handedly chased down the total in just 5 overs. While Nain scored a half-century in just 21 balls, Bisht contributed with 25 runs off mere 9 balls.

With that one-side win, Chennai Smashers were crowned ECL 2025 champions. 

Skipper Mahesh Keshwala, also known as Thugesh, was the happiest on the ground as his three-wicket-haul in the first inning restricted Bashers to a low total. Shubham Matta also supported his captain with three wickets in his two over spell.

Chennai Smashers dominated the ECL 2025 season fair and square. They finished the league stages as table toppers, clinching 5 wins in 7 games. Moreover, they beat Lucknow Lions by four wickets in qualifier 1 to get a direct entry to the final. 

And in the final, Smashers once again unravelled their dominance by beating Bangalore by 10 wickets to claim a landslide victory and also lift the trophy.
