In a massive news coming up from Pakistan cricket circles, Corbin Bosch, the South African all-rounder has been issued legal notice by PCB for leaving PSL and joining the Indian Premier League. The notice has been handed due to alleged breach of his Pakistan Super League contract where he was supposed to play for Peshawar Zalmi.
The South African player was included in the Diamond category of players in PSL, but Mumbai Indians decided to call him up as a replacement of Lizaad Williams for IPL 2025. Thus, the all-rounder would no longer be available to play in the Pakistan league.
PCB Blames Corbin Bosch For Not Aligning With His PSL Contract
He had to leave PSL because the dates of the league coincides with the dates of the Indian Premier League 2025 which will start on March 22. The Pakistan Super League will start from April 11 and the final will be on the same date of the IPL final, May 25.
"The legal notice was served through his agent, and the player has been asked to justify his actions of withdrawing from his professional and contractual commitments. The PCB management has also outlined the repercussions of his departure from the league and expects his response within the stipulated time frame. The PCB will not make any further comments on the matter," the PCB stated in a release on 16th of March.
There has been no comments from Corbin Bosch yet on the whole saga and the repercussions of his move are still unknown. There are many other players who will be playing PSL after not getting sold in the IPL 2025 mega auction, and could make their way back into the Indian league, if they are called up as replacement.
Mumbai Indians will start off their campaign against CSK on March 23 at the Chepauk.
