In a heartwarming gesture that’s winning praise across social media, South African’ spinner Keshav Maharaj extended Ram Navami wishes to fans. An avid follower of Lord Ram, Maharaj celebrated the festival with fans.

Keshav Maharaj, though a South African national, is a devout Hindu. His family traces its ancestry back to Uttar Pradesh, India, and he has often spoken with pride about his heritage.

Recently, people in India celebrated Ram Navami and Maharaj extended his wishes to those celebrating the festival.

Keshav Maharaj Pays Tribute To Lord Ram On Ram Navami

On April 6, 2025, people in India celebrated the festival of Ram Navami. Keshav Maharaj, as a devoted follower of Hindu religion, also celebrated the big occasion. 

He shared a picture of Ram Mandir recently built in Ayodhya city of Uttar Pradesh to extend warm wishes to fans celebrating the festival. His quote of “Jai Shree Ram”resonated with fans across India and the global Hindu community.

That being said, Maharaj is currently not a part of IPL 2025 season as he went unsold in the mega auction last year. Previously, he presented Rajasthan Royals before the team released him from the roster due to limited retentions available.

Maharaj Previously Sent A Message For Ram Mandir Ceremony

Last year, just a day before the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22, 2024, Keshav posted a special video message on Instagram. He extended his best wishes to the Indian community in South Africa, as well as to all those emotionally connected to the historic event in Ayodhya. 

Keshav Maharaj has openly embraced his Hindu faith and Indian heritage over the years. His acknowledgment of Hindu festivals and values, including during Diwali, Ram Navami, and the Ram Mandir ceremony, has made him incredibly popular among Indian fans.
