In a significant development for Mumbai Indians, Jasprit Bumrah is all set to feature against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 7. Notably, the right-arm seamer, who was out of action for a long time, joined the side on Saturday, earlier than expected, and now is all set to take on Virat Kohli and his men.
MI head coach Mahela Jayawardene confirmed the news while speaking to the press and also spoke about Rohit Sharma's return, where he remarked that the hitman will resume training in the nets today.
"He arrived last night. He has his session with NCA then handed to over Physios. He is bowling well and will play tomorrow," Jayawardene remarked on Bumrah.
Is Rohit Sharma Fit For RCB Clash?
The five-time winners have got off to the worst possible start in IPL 2025 as the Men in Blue have won just one match out of the four games. Further, Bumrah's presence will create an impact and the Men in Blue would look to turn things around from here and enter the top four on the table.
Further, there is a cloud over Rohit's participation as he is yet to fully recover from the knock he suffered in MI's training ground.
Bumrah will be available for tomorrow. Rohit looks good, he will bat today," Mumbai Indians coach Mahela Jayawardene added.
Despite Bumrah's return, MI would look to utilize the right-arm seamer carefully as the BCCI would not like another injury concern for India's star bowler.
