For weeks, social media was buzzing with rumours about Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, being engaged. Now, Sachin himself has confirmed the news, ending all speculation.

Reports first surfaced on August 14 that Arjun had gotten engaged to Saaniya Chandhok in a private ceremony in Mumbai attended only by close friends and family.

Despite the widespread chatter, neither family had issued any official statement. This led to even more curiosity among fans and the media.

Sachin Tendulkar Breaks Silence on Son Arjun’s Engagement Rumours

Finally, on August 25, during an “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) session on Reddit, Sachin addressed the rumors directly. When a fan asked him, “Did Arjun really get engaged??” the 51-year-old cricket icon responded,

“Yes, he did, and we are all very excited for the new phase in his life.”

Who Is Arjun Tendulkar's Fiance Saaniya Chandhok?

Saaniya Chandhok comes from a prominent Mumbai business family. Her grandfather, Ravi Ghai, is a well-known name in the hospitality and food industries. The Ghai family owns the InterContinental Hotel and the popular ice cream brand Brooklyn Creamery.

Even before the engagement news broke, Saaniya had been spotted with Arjun. She was also seen cheering for the Mumbai Indians alongside Sara Tendulkar. Since the engagement was confirmed, those pictures have been widely shared on social media.

As for Arjun, he has been steadily building his cricket career. A left-arm fast bowler who can also bat, he represents Goa in domestic cricket. In 17 first-class matches, he has taken 37 wickets and scored 532 runs.

The 25-year-old has also played 24 T20 matches, picking up 27 wickets, and 18 List-A matches, where he has 25 wickets to his name. Many see him as a promising talent in Indian cricket, following in the footsteps of his father.
