Sanju Samson extended his purple patch in the Kerala Cricket League, amassing a glorious fifty in Kochi Blue Tigers' ongoing encounter against Thrissur Titans at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. While he hammered four boundaries and nine massive sixes during his stay, one of Samson's most bizarre yet incredible milestone caught fans' attention.

Samson Hits 2 Sixes In 1 Ball; Here's What Happened

After losing the toss and being invited to bat first, Kochi Blue Tigers had the worst possible start to their innings, losing Vinoop Manoharan for ten runs. However, Sanju Samson stood tall for his side, scoring yet another impactful fifty at a critical juncture.

The explosive keeper-batter smashed nine huge sixes before Ajinas K got his prized scalp for 89 in the eighteenth over. But before getting dismissed, Samson created a rare record, hitting two sixes in one ball.

The bizarre incident occurred during the fifth over when the Titans' skipper Sijomon Joseph introduced himself into the attack. Sanju Samson adopted an aggressive approach to unsettle the left-arm spinner, dispatching his fourth ball into the stands for a six. However, interestingly, it turned out to be a no ball, with the on-field umpire rewarding a free hit to the keeper-batter.

Samson grabbed the opportunity with both hands, hitting Joseph's next ball over the cow corner for another maximum. Thus, he attained a rare batting feat, helping his side score 13 runs in one delivery, which was possible due to Joseph's no ball.

Sanju Samson's exploits in the KCL 2025 has increased the headache of the Indian team management ahead of the Asia Cup. While Samson has proved his mettle as a T20I opener, Shubman Gill's comeback might force India to demote him to lower down the order, with the Punjab batter likely to partner Abhishek Sharma at the top order.
