Rohit Sharma has long been admired not just for his elegant stroke play, but also for his flair off the field. On Saturday, May 17, the legendary Indian opener once again turned heads as he arrived to the Mumbai Indians team hotel in his sleek Mercedes.

Accompanied by his younger teammate Tilak Varma, Sharma took off for the stadium as the duo geared up for an intense practice session ahead of Mumbai Indians’ home fixture against Delhi Capitals.

On Saturday, May 17, i.e., on the day of IPL 2025 resumption, senior Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma was spotted rolling up in his Mercedes at the Mumbai Indians team hotel. Just as Sharma was joined by teammate Tilak Varma, the legendary opener took off to head towards the stadium for an intense Mumbai Indians training session.


Both Rohit Sharma and Tilak Varma are expected to reprise their roles for the Mumbai Indians franchise on May 21 at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium with a match against Delhi Capitals. In a bid to qualify for the playoffs, Hardik Pandya and co. need to win each of their remaining two games this season.

While Tilak has accrued 246 runs in nine innings this IPL 2025 at an average of 35.14, Sharma has accumulated 300 runs from 11 innings at an average of 30 and at an astonishing strike rate of over 150.

Earlier this month, Rohit Sharma confirmed his retirement from Test cricket for Team India. A few days later, he was honored by a stand named after him at the Wankhede Stadium.
