Rohit Sharma recently gave fans a rare glimpse into his personal life during a candid appearance on the YouTube talk show “Who’s The Boss?” hosted by Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra. In a heartwarming revelation, Rohit spoke about his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, and the emotional depth of her unwavering support for him. 

Rohit Sharma Talks About Ritika Sajdeh’s Gesture

Ritika is frequently seen in the stands during India's matches, and has a habit of keeping her fingers tightly crossed every time Rohit Sharma is out on the field batting. This superstitious yet touching gesture, which has become a fan-favourite sight, began shortly after the couple tied the knot in December 2015.

"I asked Ritika so many times, how do you manage this because it's incredibly tough to sit like that through the entire match with that finger. She's deeply involved in my game, she wants me to do well, she's my lucky charm, she's my biggest supporter".

Time and again, fans have captured photos and videos of Ritika visibly nervous and tense during Rohit’s innings, fingers crossed and eyes glued to the pitch.

Rohit Sharma And Ritika's Unique Love Story

Ritika is a sports event manager by profession, she once handled athlete contracts, brand endorsements, and event coordination. Her work frequently brought her in close contact with Indian cricketers. 

Interestingly, Ritika is the rakhi sister of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh. It was during an advertisement shoot that Rohit met Ritika for the first time. Yuvraj, in a playful manner, had warned Rohit to 'stay away' from her. At first, Rohit was not particularly fond of Ritika, but as fate would have it, the two got to know each other better. 

What began with a cold start eventually blossomed into a strong bond, with the duo dating for six years before finally tying the knot. In a romantic gesture, Rohit proposed to Ritika at the Borivali Sports Club, the same ground where he began his cricketing journey.
