The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise brutally trolled the sluggish approach of Pakistani batters against Team India bowlers in match number five of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. Winning the toss and batting first, the Pakistan team managed to reach just 79-2 at the end of the first 20 overs of the match, despite finding themselves comfortably placed at 52-2 in the first 10 overs.

Taking to social media, the RCB franchise shared a hilarious meme featuring former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed to describe Pakistan’s batting approach in the high-octane game.

RCB trolls Pakistan for slow approach

The Pakistan cricket team raced to 52-2 at the end of the first 10 overs of the match against India in Dubai. However, the ‘Men in Green’ managed to conjure just 27 runs off the subsequent 10 overs to reach a sluggish 79-2 at the end of the 20 overs of the innings.

While the Pakistan’s slow batting approach drew the irk of several national cricket fans, it also prompted prominent IPL franchise, the RCB, to post a hilarious meme on social media. Sharing a picture of Sarfaraz Ahmed’s infamous yawn from the 2019 World Cup, the RCB franchise mentioned the stats of the ongoing 2025 ICC Champions Trophy battle between India and Pakistan.

Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq himself scored just 10 runs from the 26 deliveries he faced at the top of the order before falling to a runout from Axar Patel. His senior opening batter Babar Azam listed 23 confident runs from just 26 balls, but the legendary Pakistani cricketer had his well-set stay cut short by Indian fast bowler Hardik Pandya.

Saud Shakeel and Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan subsequently employed cautious approach to their batting while sharing a 104-run partnership for the third wicket, consuming nearly 25 overs to do so.

At the time of publishing, Pakistan reached 188-5 at the end of 41 overs.
