KL Rahul often lets his easy-going humour shine when he steps away from the pressures of international cricket. The charismatic Indian batter has once again demonstrated his playful side, this time by wishing his father-in-law Suniel Shetty on the latter’s birthday.

On Monday, August 11; i.e., on the day of Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty’s 64th birthday, Rahul jokingly reminded his father-in-law of his growing age in a playful social media post.

KL Rahul has extended some courteous as well as cheeky birthday wishes for his father-in-law and Bollywood superstar Suniel Shetty. Taking to his Instagram story on August 11, the Indian wicketkeeper-batter shared a picture of himself along with the Bollywood actor. In the caption, KL Rahul wished Suniel Shetty a happy birthday and urged him to “keep inspiring” others with his work.

Giving a hilarious twist to his wish, Rahul also reminded the Bollywood veteran of his old age by requesting him to “rest more”. The Indian cricketer wrote:

“Happy birthday Ajja @suniel.shetty. Keep inspiring us with everything you do. And pls rest more.”

KL Rahul recently toured England as part of the Indian team for a five-match Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 Test series. Across 10 innings, the 33-year-old compiled 532 runs at a splendid batting average of 53.20, plundering two tons and two half-centuries in the process.
