Babar Azam posed in front of cameras for a stylish photoshoot, just a day after attending Pakistan teammate Shaheen Afridi’s grand wedding ceremony in Karachi.

The Pakistan captain sported a purple blazer with a white shirt, and he shared pictures from his stunning shoot with his fans on social media.

Skipper Babar Azam coped much criticism from former Pakistan cricketers and PCB chiefs after his team’s crashing exit from the 2023 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. Moreover, they also incurred their biggest defeat at the hands of arch-rivals India during the course of the tournament.

To make matters worse, reports soon emerged of a possible dressing room spat between the captain and his senior speedster Shaheen Afridi after Pakistan’s final-over defeat to Sri Lanka. His own declining batting form also drew much flak from all corners of Pakistan’s cricketing fraternity.

Fortunately for Babar Azam and his fans, the batting legend seems to have overcome his own grief just at the right time, as his troops brace themselves for the imminent 2023 World Cup next month.

Just a day after he was seen hugging Shaheen Afridi and cherishing his teammate’s wedding, he dazzled one-and-all with a stunning photoshoot. Babar also shared a glimpse from the shoot for his fans on X (formerly Twitter).

In the meantime, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced team’s 15-player World Cup 2023 composition on the same day, thus signalling their road to India for the tournament.

The ‘Men in Green’, under Babar Azam will launch their campaign with a match against Netherlands on October 6. Here is a look at their 15-player line-up along with three travelling reserves:
