One player who always gets into the limelight is former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, intentionally or unintentionally. 

Dhoni, who recently attended Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani's son Anant Ambani - Radhika Merchant's three-day pre-wedding function in Italy, is currently enjoying the sight and scene of the magnificent Europe along with his wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva.

Shared on Instagram by Sakshi, the trio could be seen having dinner together, apart from Dhoni and his better half exploring the rich local culture in several pictures across various locations around Europe, including cities in Italy, and Palermo.

Dhoni arrived last week for the pre-wedding festivities, where several A-list socialites from India across industries were also invited. It was an intimate function, unlike the one that occurred in Jamnagar in March.

Dhoni, who recently featured in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 for five-time winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK), relived himself of captaincy duties, handing over the reins to Ruturaj Gaikwad. 

The 42-year-old, who mostly batted in the death overs, excelled, slamming 161 runs in 11 innings, striking at 220.54, putting young players to shame in the competition. Interestingly, it remains to be seen if the 2007 T20 and 2011 World Cup-winning captain will come back onto the field next year or will dive into a new role with the franchise.

For the uninitiated, Dhoni hung up his international boots in 2020, having last played for India in the dreadful ICC World Cup 2019 semi-final against New Zealand.
