MS Dhoni seems to be making the most of his leisurely time away from the game. On Saturday, July 19, the former Indian captain was spotted attending the Dewri Mandir in Ranchi along with his wife Sakshi as well as with daughter Ziva.

Several pictures of the trio circulated around social media, capturing the serene family moment as fans admired Dhoni’s spiritual side and his enduring connection to his hometown.

MS Dhoni Makes Spiritual Pit Stop With Family

MS Dhoni attended the Maa Dewri Temple in Ranchi, Jharkhand on July 19 along with his wife Sakshi as well as with 10-year-old daughter Ziva Dhoni. The three were spotted seeking blessings at the temple, and were surrounded by fellow devotees as well as security personnel.

Their pictures were widely shared by fans across social media platforms, with many lauding the cricketer’s grounded nature and his deep-rooted ties to both faith and family.

During his time away from the field, MS Dhoni can frequently be seen enjoying quiet moments with family, catching up with close friends, or engaging in occasional training sessions to stay in touch with the game.

Earlier this year, the legendary Indian cricketer reprised his role for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise in the IPL 2025 season. Playing under the leadership of Ruturaj Gaikwad, the former Indian wicketkeeper-batter scored 196 runs in 13 innings at a clobbering strike rate of 135.17.

While several fans and cricket experts speculated IPL 2025 to be MS Dhoni’s final outing in competitive cricket, the 44-year-old himself revealed that he will be making his availability or retirement known within the coming months. However, with CSK going through a transition phase, it won't be a surprise to see MSD back in Yellow jersey for one final time before bidding adieu to the game.
