Siraj Dropped From Champions Trophy 2025 Squad
On the professional front, Mohammed Siraj has been in the spotlight after his exclusion from the Indian squad for the Champions Trophy 2025. This decision comes after a series of inconsistent performances from the fast bowler, particularly in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy earlier this year.
Siraj played all five Tests in the series but managed to pick up only 20 wickets at an average of 31.15. Despite being India’s second spearhead alongside Jasprit Bumrah, the right-arm pacer struggled to find his rhythm and was marked by his inconsistency with the ball.
Instead, the selectors have opted for left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh, whose ability to swing the ball and maintain accuracy in the death overs has earned him the spot.
