Yuzvendra Chahal has once again taken a sharp dig at his ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma. The spinner shared a screenshot of a court verdict stating that independent women cannot ask for alimony and made a cryptic comment.
Chahal and Dhanashree ended their four-year marriage earlier this year through mutual divorce. However, rumours suggested that Verma asked for ₹4 crore alimony from the leg-spinner.

Many users speculated that it was directed toward Dhanashree Verma, while others thought he was simply supporting the court’s ruling.
Either way, the timing couldn’t have been more controversial, as reports had just surfaced about an alleged ₹4 crore alimony settlement between the former couple after their separation.
Dhanashree previously clarified alimony rumours
Meanwhile, Dhanashree Verma has addressed the rumours head-on. On the reality show ‘Rise and Fall’, she dismissed the alimony reports, saying, “It was a mutual separation. When people talk about alimony, it’s wrong. Just because I don’t react doesn’t mean it’s true.”
She also admitted feeling hurt by the false claims but maintained that she would always keep his respect.
Not only that, but on the same show, Dhanashree claimed Yuzvendra Chahal cheated on her in the first 2 months of their marriage. However, Chahal had already declined the speculations on a podcast much before the show went on air.
Whatever transpired behind the scenes is only known to the couple. However, these constant and unnecessary digs and taunts on social media and in interviews are only serving as entertainment for the audience.
