Lord’s Cricket Ground is not just famous for its rich history and thrilling matches, it’s also known for serving some of the best food in world cricket. The third Test between England and India was no exception where the lunch menu for every one of the five days included some tasty fare, including some popular Indian dishes.

The third Test saw a rollercoaster of emotions on the field as both sides fought tooth and nail to play all 15 sessions. Eventually, England emerged as the winning side as India fell 22 runs short in a tricky run chase.

According to ESPNcricinfo, every day at lunch, guests are offered both meat and vegetarian main dishes. There are also tasty sides and a wide variety of salads to choose from.

The food spread included different curries throughout the week. A railway-style lamb curry stood out as a crowd favourite on Day 3, while a Kerala-style duck leg was another delicious highlight. On Day 4, a classic Sunday roast made an appearance, a fitting choice for a weekend at Lord’s.

But it doesn’t stop there. Afternoon tea is also a royal affair. There’s a cheese board, perfectly made finger sandwiches, and cakes and scones served with jam and clotted cream. It sounds more like a five-star hotel than a cricket ground.

The idea behind such a diverse menu is to satisfy both Indian and UK fans. The customer experience was top-notch, and the on-field competitiveness acted as a cherry on top.

That being said, the action will now shift from the Lord’s. The fourth Test of the 5-game series will be held at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester on July 23. England are leading the series 2-1, which makes the third Test a must-win game for India.
