While having a rapid-fire round with the Ratnagiri Jets, she was asked, “If you could choose one song to play during your entry in every game, what would it be?”. Her unexpected answer stunned the fans.
While answering the question, she said, “Toofan' from the Kannada movie KGF.” That answer grabbed the attention.
In the recently ended tournament, Ratnagiri Jets struggled as they ended in the last position of the points table. But Smriti Mandhana led the side from the front. She scored 116 runs in 3 matches with 2 half-centuries.

After ending the domestic tournament, Team India is now setting its sights on the upcoming limited-overs series against England Women on English soil. Starting June 28, Harmanpreet Kaur’s squad will take on the hosts in a five-match T20 series, followed by three ODIs. Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana is ready to embrace the English conditions and lead from the front.
As the year progresses, the India Women's side is loaded back to back assignments. After wrapping up the England series, they will face Australia in an ODI series as a preparation for the upcoming Women’s World Cup. Then, on September 30, they kick off against Sri Lanka Women, with fans eagerly waiting for some Smriti Mandhana fireworks.
