The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League saw many young players creating an impact in their maiden season. One of them was the spinner, Digvesh Rathi, who picked wickets at crucial junctures for LSG and emerged as a breakthrough star.
Digvesh Rathi Continues His IPL Form In Local T20 Game
The cricketer picked 14 wickets in the season and is now continuing his domination in the local leagues. In the video that is posted by the official X handle of LSG and their owner, SanjivGoenka, Digvesh Rathi is seen picking five wickets in as many balls.
The name of the league is not clear but Sanjiv Goenka in his post mentions that the bowler has done it in a local T20 game. In the video, the batting team looked in trouble as the equation on the screen shows them needing 113 runs from 36 balls.
Digvesh Rathi then creates more trouble for them bringing out his googlies to remove one batter after another. Interestingly, four of the five batters got bowled while the final one was LBW. Thus, staying true to his strength, Digvesh Rathi kept bowling with great accuracy and stump-to-stump line and it proved too hot to handle for the local batters.

Thus, Digvesh Rathi is going from strength to strength with each passing tournament and is likely to garner attention from national selectors. Along with his bowling, Rathi also grabbed the limelight in IPL 2025 for his notebook celebration. The bowler got fined multiple times and was even involved in a heated conversation with Abhishek Sharma. However, nothing deterred him and he continued with his way throughout the season.
Thus, despite controversies, Digvesh Rathi's bowling is doing all the talking and it would be interesting to see his progress in the upcoming tournaments.
