India's dashing batter Rohit Sharma has again won the hearts of people, not with the bat this time, but with his dedication. A video of Rohit taking blessings from Lord Ganesha during Ganpati celebrations in Mumbai has gone viral on social media, drawing massive reactions from his supporters.

Rohit had retired from Test cricket and T20Is this year and now only plays the ODI format for India. With no international matches in the past three months, he has been focusing on fitness and recovery.

Reports suggested that Rohit recently cleared a fitness test at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru on August 31, which fuelled speculation about his return.

Rohit Sharma Turns Devotee At Ganpati Pandal

Meanwhile, veteran cricketer Rohit Sharma, who has been away from the field since IPL 2025, looked calm and spiritual as he joined the Ganpati festival in Mumbai.

He visited a pandal and bowed down in front of the idol. Rohit’s presence caused a buzz among fans, who gathered in large numbers to catch a glimpse of their idol during the Ganpati puja.

That being said, while Rohit does not have any immediate India assignments, he is expected to feature in the upcoming ODI series in Australia in November.

Before that, there were talks that he could represent India A in their three-match one-day series against Australia A in Kanpur later this month. However, official confirmation is still awaited.

Rohit Stuns With Drastic Transformation

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma’s fitness and diet plan have also been in the news. According to reports, the opener follows a strict routine with almonds, oatmeal, and curd as a regular part of his diet.

He has reportedly lost over 10 kgs in the last month as he gears up for the ODI comeback. Notably, Rohit last played for India during the 2025 Champions Trophy, where he helped lead India to a historic title win after 12 years.
