In a recent development, all Indian players cleared the pre-season fitness tests, with Rohit Sharma looking sharp and Prasidh Krishna impressing with his numbers, as per a report from RevSportz journalist Rohit Juglan.
After a long break from international cricket, Team India players have cleared their fitness assessments at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru ahead of the Asia Cup 2025. ODI skipper Rohit Sharma and wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul successfully completed the mandatory Yo-Yo Test and Dexa scan on August 31.
Rohit Sharma Looks Fit After Long Break
Rohit Sharma, who stepped away from Test and T20I cricket earlier this year, was taking the Yo-Yo Test for the first time since the end of the IPL 2025. According to reports, Rohit looked in good shape, signalling his readiness to return for the upcoming season.

With his next international assignment being the ODI series against Australia in October, the 38-year-old opener is keen to fine-tune his preparation with a stint for India A against Australia A in Kanpur next month.
Prasidh And Others Look Good!
Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna caught attention at the COE by registering an impressive performance in the Yo-Yo Test, showcasing his recovery and peak fitness. Team management is banking on him to bolster India’s fast-bowling unit ahead of a busy season. Outside CoE, Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah and Shardul Thakur were also spotted taking the mandatory tests.
A BCCI official earlier explained the significance of these tests, telling Indian Express: “All players have to undergo a pre-season fitness test, it’s mandatory as per the contract. These tests help identify the areas players need to work on.”
While Rohit and Rahul have cleared their assessments, Virat Kohli’s preence was doubted as the premier batter wasn't spotted alongside other players at the CoE.
