India’s newly minted Test captain Shubman Gill scripted history, scoring 269 runs against England in the second Test at Edgbaston. Virat Kohli’s sister, Bhawna, praised Gill, lauding his attitude and perseverance.
Gill started the Test with a ton on Day 1 and converted it into a maiden career double century on Day 2. He didn’t stop and continued to bat aggressively, scoring 269 off 387 balls. This is not only Gill’s personal best in Tests but also the highest score by an Indian batter in SENA countries.

Her words quickly went viral, with many fans agreeing that Gill has shown the kind of mental strength and hunger usually associated with greats like Virat Kohli himself.
Gill is often regarded as the successor of Virat Kohli in Test cricket. After taking over the leadership role, he dropped down to Kohli's batting position at no.4 and has since scored a century and a double hundred in 2 Tests.
