Ravindra Jadeja brutally trolled England assistant coach Jeetan Patel after the latter expressed his confidence of an English fightback. Team India mounted 587 runs in their first innings of the second Test courtesy of a record-shattering double century from captain Shubman Gill, before Indian bowlers Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj picked up three English wickets in the final 20 overs of the day.
With England reaching a precarious 77-3 by stumps on Day 2, England assistant coach Jeetan Patel said that his team can still find a way to win the match from here.

England coach Jeetan Patel said that the hosts can still find another way of “trying to get over the line” against India. The former cricketer also added that unbeaten Joe Root and Harry Brook are two of the “greatest batters in the world” right now, who are capable of cashing in on the playing conditions on Day 3.
India In Full Control In 2nd Test
Team India, trailing 0-1 in the five-match series, aggregated 587 runs in the first innings of the second Test in Birmingham. Shubman Gill top-scored in the innings with a career-best 269, while young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja both slapped quick 80s each.
Later on Day 2, comeback man Akash Deep dismissed Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope for ducks before Mohammed Siraj snared the prized scalp of Zak Crawley.
