In the 17th match of CPL 2024, Saint Lucia Kings is taking against the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia. 

SLK Vs ABF Toss Update: In the latest development, Falcons captain Chris Green has won the toss and elected to bowl first. 

It is also worth mentioning that both the teams have made significant changes in the playing XI. For Antigua and Barbuda Falcons Brandon King and Jewel Andrew miss out, Jahmar Hamilton and Kelvin Pittman come in. On the other side, for St Lucia Kings Khary Pierre replaces Matthew Forde. 

Having won three of their five matches, the Kings are enjoying a solid campaign and are currently placed fourth in the standings. They will look to build on their recent form after successfully chasing down a target in their thrilling win against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. 

With key players stepping up at critical moments, the Kings will aim to continue their momentum and consolidate their position in the playoff race.

The Falcons, however, have struggled for consistency. With just two wins from seven matches, they find themselves second-last in the standings and in desperate need of a win to stay alive in the competition. 

Their most recent loss to the Barbados Royals, which was rain-affected and decided by the DLS method, saw them fall short despite a strong total of 176/5, led by Justin Greaves' unbeaten 61 off 52 balls.

Faf du Plessis(St Lucia Kings Captain): "Ya I think we batted well in the last two games. We didn't post a winning score. It is always a difficult to set the target rather than chasing it. Two things are different. We have one change. Khary Pierre comes in for Matthew Forde. I am happy to play here at the Saint Lucia. Crowd have been very energetic. Every night they turned up to the ground for us. Lucky to get the support."

Chris Green (Antigua & Barbuda Falcons Captain): "We are going to bowl first. I think there is no secret. Dew comes in here St Lucia in the second innings. Hopefully, we can start off well with the new ball and chase whatever they score. We have got two changes. Brandon King is resting tonight, he is monitoring his injury which he picked up during the T20 World Cup. Jahmar Hamilton comes in. Kelvin Pittman comes in for Jewel Andrew. We got cut off by Barbados Royals with the rain coming in last time."
