Haryanvi Hunters registered wins in each of their five league fixtures to finish the opening round at the top of the ECL 2024 points table. However, Elvish Yadav and co. were stunned by second-placed Lucknow Lions in the first qualifier before they regained their winning momentum by defeating Mumbai Disruptors to qualify for the finals.

Much of the success of the Haryanvi Hunters team can be attributed to the collective all-round brilliance of Rohit Lamba and Keshav Chaudhary. While both players have tallied the highest number of runs for them, they are also among the leading wicket-takers of the season for the Hunters alongside Kashish Pundir and Mahi.

Lucknow Lions

Lucknow Lions finished the league stage of the competition at number two on the ECL 2024 six-team standings by securing three wins from five matches. A day after losing to table-toppers Haryanvi Hunters, the Lions jolted them in the first qualifier to claim a spot in the finals.

Wicketkeeper-batter and opener Akash Yadav has punched out 330 runs so far from six innings to emerge as the highest run-maker of the ECL 2024 season. He scored 169 of them in a single game in a match-winning cause for the Lions. The bowling department of the Lions, meanwhile, is helmed by Harpal Saikia. Ashish Kumar Meena and captain Anurag Dwivedi have also chipped in with timely breakthroughs on a consistent basis.

The IG Indoor Stadium in Delhi is hosting all matches of the ECL 2024 season. The competition itself is a 10-overs-a-side affair and is played with a tennis ball.
